Reunited??

So three years ago I was introduced to a man by some friend that I had at the time. It was summer and for the first time in a long time this man was someone I clicked with. We started seeing eachother and things were alltogether great. Then the friend that introduced us tried to take her life, thus started my pre-occupation of helping her get better. because of this, I broke up with this man.

We kept in touch over the three years by e mail and the phone very casual. He moved to another state and is now back in Cali, we met for drinks and he asked if I would consider going out with him again. Is this stepping forward or reliving the past? We had no issues, and laugh a lot. I like him enough to start again, but should I?

He says that he has never stopped thinking about me and that he had compared all the women he dated after me to me. Is this good? I thought about him but not so much, more of what is he up to. So what.. am I over analyzing this? shall I just go with the flow?
